The GV2 Series is Nautel's high-power digital FM line, 3.5 kW to 80 kW, built on the binary-combined architecture behind more than 4,000 installed systems. GV2 is the first transmitter family able to host every HD Radio component inside the transmitter. "D" models include the Exgine HD modulator; "N" models are the compact version.

What is the difference between a GV2 and a GV2 "D" model?
Standard GV2 models are capable of digital operation but ship without the Exgine HD modulator, exporter or importer. "D" models include the Exgine and go digital with the addition of an HD MultiCast+ importer/exporter. A GV HD upgrade kit can add Exgine to a standard model later.

What output connector does it use?
The GV2-3.5 through GV2-10 have a 1-5/8" EIA output (3-1/8" and 7/8" option kits available); GV2-15 through GV2-40 use 3-1/8" EIA; the GV2-60 uses 4-1/16" and the GV2-80 uses 6-1/8" EIA.

Can I increase power later?
Yes. Nautel offers field upgrade kits from 3.5 to 5 kW, 7.5 to 10 kW, 15 to 20 kW and 30 to 40 kW. The compact GV2-30N cannot be upgraded to 40 kW.

Is a main/alternate exciter available?
Yes. Hot-standby main/alternate exciter kits are available with an analog backup or with an Exgine backup.

Can the whole HD air chain run inside the transmitter?
Yes. GV2 software-based air chain bundles cover HD1 through HD4, with NautelCare updates and support included for years one through four.

How do I get a system quote?

Typical lead time: about 6 weeks. This transmitter is built to order and sold by written quote and purchase agreement. Lead time is confirmed with the manufacturer when your order is placed.

Terms: Unless credit terms are approved in advance, a 50% deposit is due when the purchase agreement is signed, and the balance is due before the equipment leaves the manufacturer. Once signed and the deposit is paid, the order is final and the deposit is non-refundable.

Freight: Shipped by freight, quoted and billed separately. Inspect on arrival and note any damage on the delivery receipt before signing.
