The VX8 is one of Nautel's two new top-end VX Series models, extending the VX line of compact, efficient rack-mount FM transmitters to 8 kW and 10 kW for main, standby and N+1 applications.

What is new about the VX8 and VX10?
They extend the Nautel VX Series to 8 kW and 10 kW. Each is a modular 13 RU system: a 2 RU exciter/controller, a 3 RU splitter/combiner and two 4 RU amplifiers, so each assembly can be installed and serviced separately. With the amplifier power supplies removed, no single assembly weighs more than 50 lb (22.7 kg).

Nautel VS or VX: what is the difference?
Both have integral direct-to-channel digital exciters. The VS series is Nautel's compact, value-focused line at 300 W, 1 kW and 2.5 kW. The VX series spans 150 W to 10 kW in more power steps and adds a built-in audio player with playlists, automatic audio backup and native AoIP streaming inputs (Icecast, Shoutcast, HLS).

Can I run a main/alternate pair?
Yes. The Nautel VS-TC-HP transfer controller supports main/alternate systems for VX, VS, GV and NVLT transmitters.

Are these specifications final?

How do I get a system quote?

Availability: Nautel has scheduled first shipments for Q1 2027. This transmitter is built to order and sold by written quote and purchase agreement. Lead time is confirmed with the manufacturer when your order is placed.

Terms: Unless credit terms are approved in advance, a 50% deposit is due when the purchase agreement is signed, and the balance is due before the equipment leaves the manufacturer. Once signed and the deposit is paid, the order is final and the deposit is non-refundable.

Freight: Shipped by freight, quoted and billed separately. Inspect on arrival and note any damage on the delivery receipt before signing.
